Head of Russian Science and Culture Center told about Bashkiria and Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve in presentation Paris

The delegation of Bashkortostan will present our republic and the "Shulgan-Tash" reserve in Paris, claiming to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is the head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in the French capital Konstantin Volkov stated in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"One of the RCSC functions is promoting international development and making contacts with international organizations. Thus a presentation of the Republic of Bashkortostan and, in particular, one of the World Heritage sites being prepared for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List, the Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve and its rock art, will take place within the framework of this function", said Konstantin Volkov. He stressed that "the matter will not be limited only to the presentation of the site - capabilities and potential of the republic will be also considered there".

The "Shulgan-Tash" state natural biosphere reserve was established in 1958. It is located in the western foothills of the Southern Urals. The Kapova Cave with rock carvings of the Paleolithic age in the territory of the reserve is a monument of culture and archeology.
