Ufa court decided to block website selling banned cheeses from France

UFA, 1 August 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Ufa Transport Prosecutor found a website on the Runet, selling and supplying sanctions products, in particular, cheese from France.
"Just the other day, Russian President Vladimir Putin extended the decree on the food embargo against countries that had adopted anti-Russian sanctions, including France. The embargo will last until the end of 2019. In this regard, the Transport Prosecutor appealed to the court to recognize the content found on the Internet as the banned information in order to stop access to it for the general public", the press service of the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office informs.
In the first session, the court of the Soviet district of Ufa rejected the demands of the Ufa prosecutor, but after appealing the decision in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan, another decision was made: to recognize the Internet content as the prohibited information with its further blocking for the Internet users. The judicial decision was sent to Roskomnadzor (the Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications).
