Pedestrian hiking trail to appear in Bashkortostan

UFA, 30 July 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. It has been proposed to connect tourist attractions of Bashkortostan with a single hiking trail. This idea was presented at a meeting of the Council for Science under the Head of Bashkortostan, which was conducted by Rustem Khamitov.

According to the leading researcher of the Institute of Physics of Molecules and Crystals of the Ufa Scientific Center RAS, the head of the department of M. Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University Alexei Lachinov, there are such trails in many countries, including the United States. The creation of trails, along which it is possible to pass the whole country, is an interesting and popular direction in the tourism industry development.

"This idea sounds quite reasonable", Rustem Khamitov, the head of Bashkortostan, commented on the proposal. "There are such examples in the world, in particular, a trail, which goes through the territory of Spain and Portugal with access to the ocean. And these trails are not only pedestrian; they are also designed for cycling."

The Chairman of the State Committee RB for Entrepreneurship and Tourism Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov informed about developing of such pedestrian trail in the region. It is called the Great Yuzhnouralskaya Trail. According to the head of the department, this work was started on the initiative of the tour operators themselves. Currently, the trail is marked approximately half-way - about 400 km. The route begins in the city of Beloretsk and passes through several peaks. It is assumed that a part of the trail will go through the northeast of the republic.
