Doctors from Russia, China and Germany, as well as Da Vinci robot will take part in All-Russian Urological School in Ufa

UFA, 19 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On June 22-23, Ufa will host the 4th All-Russian School of Urologists. Leading specialists and scientists from Russia, Germany and China will take part in it. Among them, there is a professor of urology at the University of Regensburg (Germany) Wolf-Ferdinand Wieland, head of the research center of stem cells at the University of Regensburg Oliver Felthouse (Germany), director of the Department of Urology at Harbin Medical University Xiu Wanghai (China).

According to the press center of Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU), in two days leading surgeons from Russia and abroad will conduct 15 demonstration surgeries with different techniques: radical (open), laparoscopic, robot-assisted.

"Unlike last years, a new direction of surgical intervention is included in the current school - robotic surgery using a Da Vinci Robot", commented on the rector of Bashkir State Medical University, the chief visiting urologist of the Volga Federal District Valentin Pavlov.

Fusion biopsy training will be organized as part of the school - this is one of the precise methods for diagnosing prostate cancer.

Online broadcast from an operating theatre of BSMU clinic will be organized in a conference room and on the Internet.

The beginning is at 09.00 a.m. (Teatralnaya str., 2/1, BSMU building 10).
