High-tech medical care financing has increased six-fold - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 18 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Financing of high-tech medical care has increased six-fold since 2011. This was reported by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at a meeting dedicated to the Day of Medical Worker.

“Since 2011, the funding has increased six-fold. High-tech assistance is provided already in 23 health facilities,” said the head of the region. “Over the past five years, 151 kidney transplants, 16 heart and 14 liver transplants have been performed.”

Rustem Khamitov recalled that on January 1, 2018, a Republican Medical Genetic Center had opened. It gives new opportunities in terms of genetic certification, DNA diagnostics and monitoring of the health state of the republican residents.

A Center for Robotic Surgery opened in the clinic of the Bashkir State Medical University, the first in the Volga Federal District. More than 50 surgeries have already been conducted with the help of the medical robot "Da Vinci".

"New methods of prevention, diagnostics, and treatment are actively introduced," Rustem Khamitov said. “Clinical examination of the adult population will be conducted not once every three years, but annually. Of course, special attention will be paid to the health of children.”
