Igor Saveliev became silver prize-winner of "Lyceum" prestigious literary award

UFA, 7 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The writer and journalist from Bashkortostan Igor Saveliev became the silver prize-winner of the prestigious literary award "Lyceum" named after Pushkin.

The "Lyceum" Award was founded in 2017, is given to authors under 35 years old. 20 authors - 10 poets and 10 prose writers reach the finals of the contest. The jury this year is headed by a literary critic and writer Lev Danilkin. In each category (prose and poetry) three prizes are awarded: the third prize - 500 thousand rubles, the second prize - 700 thousand rubles, the first prize - 1.2 million rubles.

Igor Saveliev was born on July 1, 1983, in Ufa. He is a journalist, reporter of the RBC-Ufa website, editor of the daily newspaper of the Moscow International Film Festival Manezh-MIFF Daily, a member of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Union of Writers of Moscow, laureate of the Babich Youth Prize.

Since 2004, he has been published as a critic and prose writer in the journals Novyi Mir, Znamya, Literaturnaya Ucheuba, Ural, Belsky Prostory, Volga, The Art of Cinema, Questions of Literature, Snob. Igor Saveliev's prose is translated into French, English, German, Chinese, Spanish, and Italian. In 2015 - 2016, the "Eksmo" publishing house released a series "Desperate Generation Prose. Igor Saveliev" consisted of four books.
