Rustem Khamitov examined construction progress on Belaya embankment

Today in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, examined a construction progress of the bank protection structures on the Belaya embankment. This significant object for the city is included in the list of jubilee construction projects for the 100th anniversary of the republic's formation.

Creation of the embankment includes a construction of water-development works and roads, as well as the subsequent improvement of the territory.

The first stage of water-development works and a road from the Salavat Yulaev Monument to the "Yunost" pool with a length of 1.2 km was built and put into operation in 2014. The cost of engineering facilities amounted to 1.34 billion rubles, of which 1.12 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget. The cost of the road is 800 million rubles, including 200 million rubles from the federal funds.

In the near future, a construction of a 1 km road from the Yunost pool towards the Friendship Monument will begin here, and it is planned to start landscaping in autumn.

The Head of the Republic inspected the water-development works, estimated the quality of the construction and thanked the builders for the work done.

One of the sites is equipped with a platform with variants of design solutions for the proposed embankment equipping: landscape design, beach loungers, a children's entertainment complex, a summer cafe are organized there. This is a kind of an open-air showroom. Visiting it, the residents of Ufa can give their opinions about the presented options, offer their ideas and, thus, take an active part in the future improvement of the embankment.

The head of the region noted that all this should already begin to function, despite the continuation of construction works. This is an advantage of such multi-level embankment.
