Rustem Khamitov congratulated winners of "Civil Initiative" award

UFA, 31 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part in an awarding ceremony of winners of the regional stage of the "Civil Initiative" National Award, which took place at the M. Gafuri Bashkir Academic Drama Theater.
The "Civil Initiative" award was established by the Committee of Civil Initiatives and the Kudrin Foundation for the Development of Civil Initiatives in 2013. It is aimed at finding and supporting civil leaders, new faces of modern Russian society.
The prize is given annually in 13 nominations. The competition is held in two stages: regional and federal. This year, in terms of the number of applications submitted, Bashkortostan entered the top-three of the leading regions.
The honored artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Committee of Civil Initiatives Yuli Gusman participated in the awarding ceremony. Alexey Kudrin, the Chairman of the Committee, addressed the contestants with a video greeting.
“This project has already passed 22 regions - from Chita to Kaliningrad - and proved its popularity. Today it came here to Bashkiria. More than 120 projects from all over the Republic of Bashkortostan take part in this ceremony. And we can confidently say that there are proactive people who want to change the world for the better”, said Alexei Kudrin.
The head of the republic noted that more than 120 public organizations submitted to the contest significant, mature and profound works with good results and perspectives.
“I hope that the organizers of the competition are pleasantly surprised that the civil initiative exists, develops and thrives in our republic. We are very pleased with this”, stressed Rustem Khamitov.
