Retro cars exhibition will take place in Ufa on City Day

An exhibition of retro cars will take place in the Ufa Yakutov Park on the City Day, the press service of the Soviet district of the city reports. The exhibition will feature the famous Soviet "Chaika" - GAZ-14, which was released since 1977 and stopped to be manufactured in 1988 after a resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU on the struggle against privileges. On its basis, the only Soviet car of the representative class was taken out of production with destroying all documentation, assembly lines, body parts and so on. This was the only case of this kind in the history of the automotive industry, the municipality reminds.

One of the most common early Soviet machines is Moskvich-400. Few people know that this car was planned to be a two-door vehicle, like its prototype Opel Kadett, but Stalin did not like this model.

It will be possible to see what other retro cars are owned by the residents of Ufa on June 12 at 3 p.m. It is allowed to take photos with retro cars.
