Mandatory vaccination against chicken-pox and rotavirus infection may be introduced in Russia since 2020

Two years later, Russia plans to introduce mandatory vaccination against chicken-pox and rotavirus infection. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the words of the Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova.

"Since 2020, the national vaccination schedule is expanding for two vaccinations: from chicken-pox and rotavirus infection. Meningococcal infection is also now being vaccinated in the framework of epidemic calendars, for which the subjects of the Russian Federation are responsible. But we are monitoring the situation and, perhaps, we will consider transferring this vaccine to the national level", the minister said.

Note that today in Bashkiria vaccination against chicken-pox and rotavirus infection can be made for a fee - for 1500 rubles. Free vaccination is made in the republic only to conscripts who have not yet had these diseases.
