Boys were born by 444 more than girls in Bashkiria

For the first three months of this year, 10 742 babies were born in the republic, of which 5593 were boys, and 5149 were girls.

In the republic, the birth of the second child in the family prevails - more than 40% of the total number of mothers have become mothers for the second time, 16% - for the third and more times. 129 twins were born, which is by 22.5% more than in the same period of 2017. 3 triplets were born.

It is noteworthy that women of the age of 29 and 34 more often decided to give birth to babies, the department informs.

During this period, about 114 million rubles have been transferred to the medical organizations within the framework of the "Family Certificate" program by the regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund RB. These funds were received: by women's health clinics for medical services during pregnancy of women, maternity homes and children's polyclinics for services to monitor babies in the first year of life - a total of 84 medical organizations.
