Rustem Khamitov discussed issues of gifted schoolchildren support at reception of citizens

Yesterday at the reception of citizens held by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, a teacher of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University Ainur Gumerov and a student of the university Asgat Yagudin raised the issues of system work with gifted children in the republic.

According to them, it is necessary to create a specialized lyceum in the republic, which would be engaged in identifying gifted children in cities and regions, and their further preparing for the All-Russian and International Olympiads.

The head of the region noted that it was necessary to clearly understand the goals of such an educational institution, not limited only to the Olympiad movement. In particular, it should deal with the personnel preparations for various sectors of the economy, and implement scientific and practical tasks.

In addition, Ainur Gumerov and Asgat Yagudin proposed to establish an association of teachers to prepare students for the Olympiads and various competitions.

The head of the region discussed the topic of supporting gifted schoolchildren in a telephone conversation with the Education Minister Gulnaz Shafikova. Following the results of the meeting, he proposed to the applicants to prepare concrete offers with specified parameters of the projects and instructed to hold a meeting on this topic in the Government of the republic.
