370 thousand people took part in "Immortal Regiment" campaign in Bashkiria

UFA, 10 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. In Bashkiria, 370 thousand people took part in the "Immortal Regiment" campaign, the Bashinform News Agency was informed by its organizers. Columns with banners and portraits of veterans marched along the streets of many cities and villages of our republic. The most massive and colorful procession was held in Ufa, which was attended by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov.

Victory Day was widely celebrated in Ufa. Festive dinners, field kitchens, air shows, historical quests, competitions were organized in the city.

Ufa joined the "Immortal Regiment" campaign in 2014. In 2017, more than 60 thousand people took part in it. The international public campaign "Immortal Regiment" was first initiated in 2011 by Tomsk journalists. Now the people's movement covers 64 states and territories. The movement keeps an electronic "People's Chronicle", containing stories about war veterans.
