Konstantin Tolkachev congratulated Great Patriotic War veteran Ivan Volik on Victory Day

UFA, 8 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Chairman of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev congratulated the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Ivan Volik on Victory Day.
Ivan Volik was drafted to the Red Army at the age of seventeen in November 1944. After the war with Germany, he fought in the Far East with Japan, then continued his service there in a special counterintelligence department. In 1953 he was transferred to the reserve, the press service of the regional parliament reports.
After military service Ivan Volik worked for many years in the Communist party bodies, 16 years (from 1972 to 1988) was the first secretary of the Karmaskaly district committee, he was a deputy of the Supreme Council of Bashkortostan of three convocations.
Ivan Volik was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree, the Order of October Revolution, the Red Banner of Labor, Friendship of Peoples, the "Sign of Honor", as well as 26 medals, among them "For Courage", "For Victory over Japan" and many others.
Ivan Volik told about his service in the Far East, participation in military operations, about years of work in the republic, deputy activity.
Konstantin Tolkachev thanked the veteran and wished him long life.
