It will be possible to observe maximum of Eta Aquariids meteor shower on May 5

UFA, 3 May 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. On the night of May 5 in the sky above Bashkiria, the maximum activity of the meteor stream of the Eta Aquariids is expected. According to experts from the Ufa city planetarium, the highly active meteor stream of Eta Aquariids is observed annually from April 19 to May 28. Attentive earthlings can see up to 70 meteors per hour at its maximum.

Employees of the planetarium clarified that all streams of Eta Aquariids are best observed in the city, but this year the Moon will prevent the observation of the maximum of the Eta Aquariids. Being in the phase of the last quarter it will rise at two o'clock in the morning and will allow seeing only the brightest meteors.
