Rustem Khamitov named shopping centers that work without permission

Yesterday at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Council for Public Security of the region, which was devoted to the results of security checks of shopping and entertainment complexes, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov named shopping malls that worked without the necessary permits.

“In Tuymazy, Oktyabrsky, Alekseevka village of Ufa district, four large facilities are operated without any permission for commissioning. Another four such facilities are located in Ishimbay,” said the Head of the Republic.

The prosecutor of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Andrei Nazarov, named the operation of such facilities among the systemic problems in the field of fire safety. Thus, in Tuymazy, a building of the former garment factory was transformed into the Iremel shopping mall, and permission to change the designation of the facility and putting it into operation was not obtained.

According to him, the concerns are caused by those buildings, which construction and commissioning, due to the law, did not require state construction supervision. With regard to shopping centers, there are freestanding buildings or annexes with a height of no more than two floors, which area does not exceed 1.5 thousand square meters. Often they are also erected without permits, followed by legalization in court.

The Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic of Bashkortostan, Mikhail Zakomaldin, suggested initiating lawsuits against managers of those facilities that were put into operation without permission, followed by a demolition of potentially hazardous buildings.

"None of the violations revealed should escape punishment", Rustem Khamitov said supporting this idea.
