Bashkiria Government approved special mode for natural monuments protection

UFA, 16 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. The Ministry of Ecology of Bashkiria made explanations about the adopted resolutions of the republican Government as of April 11, 2018, to avoid their incorrect interpretation.

As explained by the Ministry, most of the natural monuments located in the territory of Bashkortostan were created in 1965-1986. They did not have exact boundaries, areas, or specific locations, except for an indicative description and a generalized protection mode without taking into account the features of each monument.

Therefore, it was decided to conduct a comprehensive inventory of specially protected natural areas of regional importance. Since the creation of the first natural monuments much has changed, including the safety requirements for these territories. Boundaries and areas were adjusted. In some cases, the names of natural monuments were corrected, their location was specified. Many natural monuments expanded their borders. Thus, the natural monuments of Lake Aslykul and Kandrykul have become natural parks. To date, the protection mode extends not only to the water surface of lakes but also to all adjacent territory that is part of natural parks. The same is relevant for Mount Iremel.

Today every citizen of the republic can get acquainted with both the borders and the list of restrictions on the various activities imposed in connection with a status of each individual territory.

As underlined by the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan, these resolutions create an opportunity to organize more purposeful and effective control over the preservation and development of the nature protection areas of the republic.
