Universities World Rating RUR - 2018 is compiled: Bashkiria universities positions

UFA, 12 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The Russian rating agency Round University Ranking (RUR) presented its annual international rating of universities. It was attended by 783 universities from 74 countries.

Experts gave the first place to Harvard University, which is followed by the University of Chicago, California Institute of Technology, Imperial College in London and Stanford University.

Russia took the second place in the world in terms of the participating universities number, after the United States. Our country is represented by 70 universities, 10 of which entered the world Top-500. The leader among Russian educational institutions was M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, which took the 153rd line of the rating. Then National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" took the 224th position, Tomsk State University - the 240th, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology - 256th, Novosibirsk State University - the 329th, St. Petersburg State University - the 385th and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia – 440th.

Ufa State Aviation Technical University is leading among the universities of Bashkortostan with 680th position (29th place among the Russian universities) in the Round University Ranking (RUR). Two more Bashkir universities are also included in this list: Bashkir State Medical University (728th in the world rating and 46th among the Russian ones) and the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (770th and 65th).
