Rustem Khamitov: "Strong, efficient army starts from military commissariats"

UFA, 11 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. Yesterday in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, delivered a speech at a solemn meeting dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Military Commissariat of the republic. The head of the region congratulated employees of military commissariats and military men on the event and handed over state awards of Bashkortostan.

The head of Bashkortostan noted that the republican military registration and enlistment office successfully fulfilled the tasks of the Headquarters of the Central Military District on drafting citizens for military service and under contract. Annually more than 10 thousand young guys are directed to the Armed Forces from Bashkortostan and serve in all branches of the military service from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.

Employees of military commissariats solve the tasks of organizing military registration of citizens, territorial defense, providing readiness for the mobilization of human and transport resources. So, the military commissariat of the republic showed successful performance during the "Center" military training drills in 2011 and 2015, and last year it became the winner of the All-Russian competition for the best mobilization deployment base.

The Government of the republic provides financial support for the activities of military enlistment offices and the work of conscription points. Much attention is paid to modernizing facilities of the military recruiting station, improving the living conditions of conscripts. There is a dining room, a club, a sports complex with a playground and a gym at the station.

According to the head of the region, the military commissariats carry out a lot of work on promoting medical rehabilitation and improving the living conditions of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, combat veterans, supporting families of those killed in the line of duty, perpetuating their memory, conducting social support of military men, and many other issues.

Rustem Khamitov stressed that the military registration and enlistment office of the republic had been repeatedly marked among the best in the country and he was sure that that would further continue.
