Working-age population mortality decreased by 9% in Bashkiria
UFA, 10 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In Bashkortostan, a death rate of working age people decreased by 9%. Life expectancy in the republic following the results of 2017 was 71.7 years. Over the past three years, growth was 2.4%. These data were cited by the Minister of Health RB Anvar Bakirov, speaking at a briefing session in the Government RB.
"Mortality from all causes has decreased by 4%. Including, a decrease in mortality from diseases of the circulatory system, tuberculosis, suicide has been registered, alongside with achieving target figures in road accidents", the head of the department said.
In particular, it was noted that the reduction in mortality from diseases of the circulatory system over the past five years was associated with a smoothly running of vascular centers and an introduction of a Modular Health Program in Bashkortostan. The program covers all age groups of the population: preschool, school, able-bodied and pensioners. The goal of the Program is a gradual introduction of a modular system for health preservation throughout life, improving the system for prevention of socially significant diseases, preserving and strengthening physical and mental health of every person, and maintaining his long active life.
By 2030, life expectancy in the region should grow to 76 years.
