Utility payments may grow by average of 4% nationwide
UFA, 9 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. Utility payments may grow from July 1 on average by 4% in Russia. Such a forecast was made by the head of the Ministry of Construction Mikhail Men in an interview with Izvestia. According to him, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, including its regional representative offices in the territory of each entity, will closely follow the tariff changes.
"From July 1, growth about 4% on average across the country is possible, for the last 2-3 years this is one of the lowest increases in this sector," the head of the Ministry of Construction said.
In Bashkortostan, regional standards for the maximum allowable share of citizens' expenses for housing and utilities are approved. Here, the total income of the family is taken into account: it is 15% for families with many children and incomplete families, 18% for lonely citizens who receive pensions, 60-year-old men and 55-year-old women, 20% - for other categories of citizens. If payment for utility services for these categories of citizens is exceeded, they can apply for subsidies to the branches and departments of the Republican Center for Social Support in the place of residence. There, citizens can independently check whether they are entitled to these subsidies.
