More than 200 cases of flooding with meltwater are registered in Bashkiria

Since the beginning of April, due to a warm snap, 234 complaints about flooding with meltwater of adjoining territories, houses, and road sections have been registered in 27 municipalities of the republic. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Committee RB for Emergency Situations Farit Gumerov on April 9.

As an example, the head of the department named two settlements in the Burzyan region - the village of Staromunasipovo and Bainazarovo, where during the day 15 yards were flooded with meltwater, and 17 houses in the village of Beloe Lake in the Gafuri region.

"Utility services, road and rescue services are engaged in liquidation of flooding by meltwater. Water is pumped out, lateral drainage canals are laid out", said the Chairman of the State Committee for Emergency Situations. "For example, out of 57 floods registered in the Ufa territory as of April 9, 49 were eliminated. The remaining eight cases are under control".
