More than one thousand people were evacuated from Gostiny Dvor shopping mall in Ufa

UFA, 6 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. On April 6, fire and tactical exercises took place in the Ufa shopping and business complex "Gostiny Dvor". As Yelena Artemova, the employee of the 22nd detachment of the Federal Fire-Fighting Service in Bashkortostan, told Bashinform News Agency, according to the task, a fire occurred in one of the boutiques on the first floor. The arrived at the scene fighters of the firefighting and rescue unit No. 1 eliminated the simulated fire within half an hour.

"The complete evacuation of visitors and attendants took a few minutes. The building was left by more than a thousand visitors and 190 tenants in an orderly manner. Prior to the arrival of the fire brigades, the local volunteer fire brigade carried out evacuation as well as extinguishing of the simulated fire by connecting a fire hose to the internal fire-fighting water supply", the department commented on, adding that the personnel coped with the task in hand.

As previously reported, yesterday the fire-tactical exercises were held in the shopping malls "Arkada", "Severny", "Parus", "Bashkiria", "Iremel", "Gallery ART", and the "Iskra" cinema complex.
