Rospotrebnadzor checked chocolate that burns

UFA, 5 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare) experts check reports on quality and safety of chocolate. The agency responded to "reports that in several regions of the Russian Federation, video messages about chocolate are distributed through social media and messengers, which was subjected to burning processes, which allegedly testified to its unsafety".

In the regions where such reports were recorded, laboratory studies of the products mentioned in the videos were organized. Rospotrebnadzor notes that "burning is a natural physicochemical process for food, the intensity of which is related to the composition of the product".

The Service calls on citizens not to trust random sources of information, and in case of doubt as to the quality of food, in particular, chocolate, to apply to territorial Rospotrebnadzor departments for taking measures.
