About 3000 visitors and employees were evacuated from "ART Gallery" shopping mall in Ufa

UFA, 5 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. On April 5, large-scale fire-tactical exercises took place in the "Gallery ART" shopping and entertainment complex in Ufa. The firefighters evacuated about 200 people from the building of the "burning" shopping mall and rescued five "victims". The exercises involved 14 units of equipment and 56 people. The simulated fire was eliminated after 29 minutes, the press service of the Main Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia for Bashkortostan reported.

The purpose of the event is to assess the readiness of the forces and facilities of the Ufa fire and rescue garrison, as well as emergency services of the city to eliminate the consequences of fires and emergencies in heavily trafficked facilities.

The exercises involved forces and resources of the regional Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM), the 22nd detachment of the Federal Border Service in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ufa branch of the Volga search and rescue team, the Ufa fire protection department, the Ufa Civil Defense Directorate, the staff of the State Committee for Emergencies, the Center for Disaster Medicine and the Interior Ministry of the region.

As previously reported, fire-tactical exercises were held in the "Arkada", "Severny", "Parus", "Bashkiria", "Iremel" shopping malls and the "Iskra" cinema complex.
