Rustem Khamitov: "New image of sanatorium-and-spa treatment system will be created"

UFA, 4 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. New approaches to the organization of work of the sanatorium and resort industry will be developed in Bashkortostan, and a coordinating structure will be created to manage the sanatorium complex operation. This was stated by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov at the 3rd Medical Forum, which takes place in Ufa.

According to the Head of the Republic, except the treatment, patients have nowhere to go and have nothing to do there. The entertainment industry is not formed, the infrastructure is not developed.

"Our sanatoriums are located in picturesque parts of nature. On the one hand, this is an advantage, but on the other hand - a significant disadvantage as vacationers have nothing to do after treatment procedures. There is not enough tourism, bicycles, pedestrian routes, maybe fishing", noted Rustem Khamitov.

The Head of the Republic gave an example of the Altai Territory, where a single corporation managing sanatoria had been formed, and a modern infrastructure had been created.

"A new image of the sanatorium-and-spa treatment system will be created. I hope that new economic results will be achieved. The main thing is that the inhabitants of our republic have an opportunity to buy tours. Currently, they are very expensive. We see that in our sanatoriums more than half of the vacationers are guests from the nearby entities. There are few residents of Bashkortostan at our resorts, and this is not good".

The Head of the Region noted that a format of the future operator of the sanatorium-resort system was to be determined.
