Drunk drivers will be prosecuted for 0.3 ppm since July

UFA, 4 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Vladimir Putin specified the terms for administrative liability for driving under the influence of alcohol and determined the equivalent indicators of the alcohol presence in the blood of drivers. The head of state signed the law, according to which the maximum permissible level of alcohol in the driver's body will be "absolute ethyl alcohol concentration of 0.3 g/l and more in blood ". The document comes into force 90 days after its official publication.

According to TASS, at present, the establishment of intoxication fact is determined by the presence of absolute ethyl alcohol in a concentration exceeding 0.16 mg/l of exhaled air, or the presence of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances in the human body. Administrative liability, in this case, is provided in the form of a driver's license revocation or up to two years with the imposition of a fine of 30 thousand rubles.
