Population dietary preferences to be studied in Bashkortostan

UFA, 3 April 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/. From May 17 to June 15, statisticians of the republic will conduct a sample survey of the population ration. The survey of respondents will be conducted at their place of residence on condition their voluntary consent obtained, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency reported.

Information recorded in the questionnaires is not subject to disclosure and is intended only for obtaining summary statistics.

The sample survey of the population dietary preferences is conducted to receive statistical information reflecting social, economic and behavioral factors affecting the provision of a full and healthy diet.

The task of the study is to collect statistical data on the level of individual consumption of food, the energy and nutritional value of the diet, features of formation and composition of a food basket for children and adults.

The results of the sample survey of the dietary preferences are intended to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of measures to implement the Concept of Russia's Demographic Policy for the period up to 2025, the "Health" priority national project.

The sample survey is based on a survey of representatives of various groups and segments of the population living in all regions of the country and is conducted with coverage of 45,000 households every five years.
