New building construction of Ufa Maternity Hospital No 3 will start this year - Rustem Khamitov

UFA, 29 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov instructed to begin construction of a new building of the Ufa Maternity Hospital No. 3 this year. He stated this during his visit to the institution.

The Head of the Region inspected a maternity ward, the "Mother and Child" department, talked with young mothers and congratulated them on the birth of children.

The head doctor of the maternity hospital Zukhra Gurova said that 4-4,5 thousand newborns were born here every year.

Zuhra Gurova said that a project for the reconstruction of the existing building of the maternity hospital with the construction of a new building with an area of about 10 thousand square meters had been developed. The cost of work is about 1.5 billion rubles. Reconstruction will make it possible to increase the number of births to 5 thousand per year, as well as to create more comfortable conditions for women in labor, having made single-double rooms instead of the current four-bed rooms.

"We should start this year to finish construction by 2020," Rustem Khamitov said. "It is necessary to bring the maternity hospital in accordance with the necessities of the times".

The Head of the Republic inspected a construction site of the additional building and instructed the Government to provide the necessary financing. It was noted that the hospital all this time would work in a regular mode, and its reconstruction would begin after the new building commissioning.
