Until the end of March, which is a winter month in the continental climate, a warm spell is not expected. "Spring is characterized by positive daily mean values, and this happens only in April here", explained the head of the Bashkir Met Office, Anna Kozaeva.

The first April decade will be unstable, with snow and rains; the amount of precipitation is forecast above the norm by 20-30% for a month. "The territory of the republic is heterogeneous, so the distribution of heat and precipitation may be uneven", warned the weatherman.

The sudden arrival of heat can provoke an intensive melting of snow and a rise in the level of the rivers. However, the predicted maximum levels of spring water do not go beyond the average values. Flooding is not expected this year in the cities Ufa, Sterlitamak and Birsk. "In case we see the approach of a heat wave, we will announce a storm warning", Anna Kozayeva said.
