Rustem Khamitov about situation in Kemerovo: "This is real corruption"

UFA, 27 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov instructed to check the safety of shopping centers, concert halls, and congress facilities, as well as to examine the documentation in terms of identifying corruption manifestations. He stated this at a meeting of the commission for the anti-corruption work coordination in the region.

The Head of the Region noted that the Russian President Vladimir Putin was in the Kemerovo region in connection with the tragedy there. At a briefing on eliminating the fire consequences in the shopping mall, the head of state noted that "one cannot get a certificate without money, but with money paid - anything will be signed, that's the problem. And they did not give a toss about the safety of people. That's why such things happen".

"We understand that there will be a very serious analysis of the Kemerovo situation, and conclusions will be drawn. We also should assess once again the situation in our shopping centers, large halls in terms of fire safety, in general, the safety of people, and most importantly – we should make conclusions on anti-corruption activities", stressed Rustem Khamitov.
