More than 254,000 people work at production facilities with occupational hazards in Bashkiria
UFA, 27 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Bashkortostan, more than 254,000 people work at production facilities with harmful and hazardous factors. Total 1 million 129 thousand employees, which are insured in the Social Insurance Fund, are employed in the republic, said Rif Shamsutdinov, the deputy manager of the Social Insurance Fund for the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Recently, issues related to occupational safety and industrial injuries are in the area of special attention of the Government of the Russian Federation.
According to the Social Insurance Fund, to encourage employers to reduce the level of injuries and occupational morbidity of workers, they are given an opportunity to reimburse expenses for preventive measures at the expense of insurance payments. The amount of the means allocated by the Bashkir branch of the Fund for these purposes is increasing every year. In 2017, more than 2,400 enterprises were able to direct 275.2 million rubles for safe labor organization of their employees.
The largest share of funds from the total amount of financing was spent by the insured on sanatorium and spa treatment of workers employed in jobs with harmful and hazardous production factors - 88.4 million rubles, purchase of personal protective equipment - 85.6 million, mandatory regular medical examinations of employees - 73.3 million, special assessment of working conditions - 22.4 million rubles.
The preventive measures funds are actively used in highly hazardous enterprises and industries - such as mines, oil production, metallurgical, machine-building enterprises, agriculture, construction, and transport.
In 2017, 1693 enterprises of the republic received funds to finance preventive measures in the amount of 24.04 million rubles. In 2018, the amount of funds provided for by the budget for the preventive measures financing is 285.5 million rubles.
