Commission inspects venues for CIOFF World Congress in capital of Bashkiria

UFA, 23 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. On March 22-24, the general secretary of the International Council of the Organization of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) Olga Maloni and deputy director of the State Russian Folk Art House Andrei Belyaev are paying an inspection visit to the capital of Bashkortostan. The purpose of their visit is to inspect the venues as part of the preparation for the CIOFF World Congress in September 2018, as well as for the Folklore Festival 2020.

"Today, a Congress Hall was inspected. It is planned that the events of the CIOFF World Congress will be held there. Members of the commission will also inspect a building of the State Assembly RB and hotels. It will be decided where and what events of the program will be held", the spokesperson for the Congress Bureau of Bashkortostan Elena Aryamnova told Bashinform News Agency.

The World Congress and the General Assembly of the International Council for the Organization of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) will be held in the capital of the republic on September 15-25, 2018. The event will be carried out on the eve of the World Folklore Festival CIOFF in 2020 in Bashkortostan with the purpose of studying the experience of preparation and hosting this event. 200 delegates from 60 countries are planning to attend it.

The CIOFF World Congress includes such events as meetings of the executive committee, the council and commissions, committees, the youth coordinating committee; General Assembly, a culture conference, open and youth forums and excursions.
