Water reserves in snow cover of rivers are 49% below normal in Ufa this year

This year, water reserves in the snow cover of the Belaya and Ufa Rivers are 49% below normal, said the head of the capital's Civil Protection Directorate, Rasim Abdullin. Despite this, urban services are ready for different situations - 28 flood control headquarters, 12 observation posts, 54 temporary accommodation points are established.

"The average height of snow is about 35 millimeters - this is 40% below normal. In case of adverse conditions, the water in the rivers can rise by about 4-5 meters, but residential buildings will not be caught in the flood zone. If the water level rises by more than 5.2 meters, then a road between the village of Romanovka in the Dema neighborhood and Kozarez Street in Lenin district may be found in the flood zone", Rasim Abdullin said.
