Rustem Khamitov met with rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy

UFA, 15 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. Today in the House of the Republic, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, met with the rector of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy. Issues of developing the education system, improving the quality of graduates' training, improving academic programs, working with gifted children were discussed there.

The Head of the Republic noted that our region was interested in the MSU activity with gifted children.

“We have started realizing our republican program on gifted children. We would like to adopt your experience in this part, make an appropriate exchange of practices, because, it is obvious that you are the leader here”, Rustem Khamitov said. “ Of course, it would be very interesting for us to work jointly in this area.”

Victor Sadovnichy, in turn, invited a delegation of the republic to study the experience of two gymnasiums at Moscow State University - the after A.N. Kolmogorov School with an in-depth study of mathematics and a new university gymnasium, which actively interacts with major Russian state-owned companies in terms of targeted training of specialists.

“We have talked about the Olympiads, about possible cooperation in this direction,” the rector of the Moscow State University told journalists after the meeting. “I said that 470 children from Bashkiria are studying at Moscow State University, and 370 of them are winners of the Olympiads. That is, you have very talented people here. We said that it is important that they would have an opportunity to return and work in the republic.”

An agreement was also reached that teachers of the republican schools would be able to improve their qualifications and use remote online courses developed by Moscow State University.

In addition, Rustem Khamitov suggested holding a meeting of the Russian Union of Rectors headed by Viktor Sadovnichy in Ufa in 2019.
