Bashkortostan entered Top-10 regions in terms of spending on social policy

UFA, 15 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/. The Republic of Bashkortostan with sum of social policy spending of 43.5 billion rubles takes the eighth place in the Russian Federation and the first in the Volga Federal District.

The rating of the country entities in terms of budget spending on social policy is published in the pilot issue of federal information-analytical journal "Social Protection in Russia".

The publication is aimed at covering positive experience of the regions in organization of social protection, implementation of federal programs and innovative projects focused on improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities, including children with disabilities, elderly people, families with children.

In an article entitled "Properly Selected Diet as Vital Instrument for Rehabilitation" the director of Starobaish orphanage for elderly and disabled Elsa Shaikhutdinova (a social institution is the only one in Russia, where the elderly, and children with disabilities live under the same roof) talks about a special menu for her wards, rich in seafood and food with lipotropic properties.
