"Ural Batyr Winter Games" were held in Bashkir Reserve

UFA, 14 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. In the Burzyan region, in the territory of the village of Sargay, the "Ural Batyr Winter Games" Festival was held. It was conducted on the initiative of the Bashkir Reserve together with the administration of the Burzyan District, the Trans-Urals Agro-Industrial College in the village of Starosubhanguulovo, the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for the Development of Horse Riding and Traditional Archery "Mergen Uksy". Amateur athletes from the equestrian biathlon club of the Baimak district were invited for demonstration performances.

As the doctor of philology, a famous storyteller and adviser to the "Society of Bashkir Women" Rosaliya Sultangareyeva said, a tradition of holding such festivals was revived in the republic in 2013. Since that time the celebrations for popularization of the Bashkir folk epic "Ural Batyr" have been held in Beloretsk, Abzelilovo, Karmaskaly, Dyurtyuli, Meleuz, Askino and other areas.

The small village located in the reserve became a center of contests for the revival of traditional Bashkir people games for the second time. It is equipped with a stage and canopies to seat all viewers.
