Bashkiria is in top 15 in Russia by popularity with foreign tourists

UFA, 6 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. The "TourStat" analytical agency published a rating of inbound tourism by regions of Russia for 2017. It did not include Moscow and St. Petersburg, as both capitals traditionally occupy the first and second places in terms of the number of foreign tourists. Over the past year, Moscow has received 4.8 million guests from abroad, St. Petersburg - 3.75 million.

In the final rating of regions last year Kuban, Primorye Territory, Crimea, Tatarstan and Moscow region became the leaders of inbound tourism. In particular, more than 900 thousand foreign tourists visited the Krasnodar Territory, 640 thousand tourists came to Primorye, and more than 500 thousand to Crimea. The Republic of Bashkortostan took the 11th place: for the year the region was visited by 100 thousand foreigners.

Previously, the "TourStat" agency compiled a rating of domestic tourism between the regions of Russia. According to him, Bashkortostan took the 17th place in terms of visitors from other regions of the country. In 2017 the tourist flow in the region grew by 15% and reached two million people.
