Ufa residents will be able to observe conjunction of Venus and Mercury

UFA, 5 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Mercury will pass 1.4 degrees north of Venus on March 5 at 23.29 Ufa time, and at 3.9 degrees north of Venus at 06.17 on March 18. According to the city planetarium, the close location of the planets in the sky can be observed for almost a month.

"The planets are visible in the evening after sunset in the Pisces constellation. They are exactly in the west low above the horizon. Venus is the brightest "star", Mercury is not so bright. Until March 22, it will be visible above Venus, after March 22 - lower and to the right of Venus," Ufa Planetarium shared with Bashinform News Agency. “At the beginning of the month, Mercury and Venus will be visible against the backdrop of the evening dawn. By the middle of the month their visibility will improve, they will set later: Venus at about 21.00, Mercury in 20 minutes later. It should be noted that Mercury in March has the best visibility during the year".

On March 22, both planets will go under the horizon at the same time - at 21.13. By the end of the month the visibility of Mercury will deteriorate sharply, and the duration of Venus visibility, on the contrary, will increase.
