Bashkiria is asked to support eco-awareness campaign "Earth Hour"

UFA, 28 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On March 24, from 20.30 to 21.30 worldwide, light and illumination of key architectural sights will be turned off for an hour. The world's largest environmental campaign - the "Earth Hour" is organized by WWF Russia with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Government of Moscow. It calls on people all over the world to turn off the lights and household appliances for one hour as a sign of their concern for the future of our planet.

The event is held annually to draw attention to the problems of environmental protection and rational nature management. The campaign is oriented to the formation of daily ecological culture and promotion of responsible attitude to natural resources, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy stated.
