Bashkiria rose by five points in happiness rating for six months

UFA, 26 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Daria Petrova/. Bashkiria took the eighth place in the rating of happiness compiled by the independent Medialogia Russian research company. The study is conducted several times a year, the company employees analyze how often the "happiness" context is mentioned in the regions of Russia in social media.
In Bashkiria, frequency of mentions was 2.1% in January 2018. It is noteworthy that six months ago, June 2017, our republic was ranked 13th in the rating with an indicator of 1.72%. Thus, the happiness index in the region grew by five points.
In addition to Bashkortostan, the top ten most "happy" regions included Moscow, St. Petersburg, Crimea, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk regions and Tatarstan.
Thus, according to the World Happiness Report, Russia took the 49th place in terms of happiness, having improved its positions by seven points over the year. Japan, South Korea, Turkey, China and many other countries were left behind.
"There is a top five factors that affect happiness: 1) family relationships; 2) financial situation; 3) work; 4) society and friends; 5) health. These are five key factors from the results of sociological research. The five main factors that give a person satisfaction from life, from what he does,” said Rustem Khamitov speaking at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of Bashkortostan.
In Bashkortostan, issues of family well-being are given special attention. The year of 2017 is declared the Year of the Family in the republic. A whole complex of measures is implemented in the republic to support families with children, and this support will be expanded in the near future. So, as Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, the Head of Bashkortostan suggested introducing regional maternity capital using the funds of regional enterprises. A number of Russian regions already apply this scheme and Rustem Khamitov instructed to study their experience.
