Rustem Khamitov suggested introducing regional maternity capital

UFA, 21 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/. A new measure of large families support - a regional maternity capital - may appear in our republic. This was stated by the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov at a board of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the region.

It is supposed that the funds of enterprises will be used to form the regional maternity capital.

"We should also look into a possibility of introducing regional and municipal maternity (family) capital in the republic with participation of organizations, enterprises, individuals", Rustem Khamitov said.

The Head of the Republic reported that St. Petersburg, Tambov and Tula regions were working with industrial enterprises under this scheme and instructed to study their experience.

"Since this year, families with children receive additional support in accordance with the decree of the President of the country. For these purposes, significant resources are allocated from the federal budget for our republic", said Rustem Khamitov. "The maternity capital term has been extended. We need to examine our options regarding the childcare benefits from one and a half to three years. We need to estimate our financial capabilities".
