Bashkortostan entered Top-20 regions popular with tourists in Russia

UFA, 20 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Daria Petrova/. The «TourStat» analytical agency, which is engaged in research of the tourism market in Russia and the CIS, published a rating of the most popular regions among travelers of the country. The Bashkortostan Republic took 17th place in it. In 2017 the tourist flow in the region grew by 15% and reached 2 million people.

The most popular tourist destination in Russia was the Krasnodar Territory, which in 2017 was visited by 15.8 million people. The Top-5 also includes the Moscow region, Crimea, Primorye and the Vladimir region. The leaders of growth were the Yaroslavl region, where tourist flow grew by 24%, Primorye (+ 20%) and Karachaevo-Cherkessia (+ 20%).

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that the republic planned to raise awareness of Bashkortostan in the domestic market due to the tourist brand of the region. According to the Chairman of the State Committee for Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Vyacheslav Gilyazitdinov, the brand will increase the flow of tourists on the domestic market by 15-25%. The branding company Paradox Box is engaged in its development, the brand should be ready before March 30, 2018.
