Bashkiria almost reached level of epidemic threshold: 26 thousand people with ARVI, eight - with flu

UFA, 13 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In Bashkiria, the incidence of influenza and ARVI increased among schoolchildren and adults. A total of 26,000 people were diagnosed with an acute respiratory viral infection in the region (from February 5 to 11), 70% of them children.

According to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare) in the Republic of Bashkortostan, now the republic has approached the level of the epidemic threshold according to the number of acute respiratory infections and influenza cases.

If from January 29 to February 4, there were 20,600 people registered with ARVI and four with influenza, then last week this figure increased to 26,000. And cases of influenza A1 (swine flu) were confirmed in four more people by a laboratory method.
