Russian fans held campaign to support athletes in Montreal

UFA, 9 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. A group of fans of the Russian Olympic team, dissatisfied with a doping scandal, which cost dozens of athletes participating in two consecutive Olympics, held a campaign in front of the World Anti-Doping Agency headquarters in Montreal.
The fans projected words to the building of the WADA headquarters: "The only doping among the Russian Olympic team is our support and love."
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has registered 169 athletes from Russia for participation in the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korean Pyeongchang. Among them there are five representatives of Bashkortostan. These are biathlete Anton Babikov, Ernest Yakhin (Nordic combined), hockey player Olga Sosina, Semen Elistratov (short track) and Kristina Spiridonova (freestyle).
The IOC suspended the membership of the Russian Olympic Committee in the organization, and due to which the Russian team will not be represented at the Games-2018. The Russian athletes can perform at the Games only under the Olympic flag in the status of "Olympic athlete from Russia".
Several leading Russian athletes, among them biathlete Anton Shipulin, skier Sergei Ustyugov, short tracker Viktor An, skaters Pavel Kulizhnikov and Denis Yuskov, figure skaters Xenia Stolbova and Ivan Bukin did not receive invitations to the Olympics.
