About 1 billion rubles were spent on providing disabled persons with assistive devices in Bashkiria

UFA, 5 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Last year, in Bashkiria, about 950 million rubles were spent on providing rehabilitation equpment for the disabled, according to the regional department of the Social Insurance Fund for the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Thus, last year the department bought more than 9 million pieces of rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities of the republic. These are prosthetic and orthopedic devices, wheelchairs, hearing aids. The largest part of the assistive devices consists of special care products for people with excretion function disorders.

People with disabilities are provided with assistive devices for 97%, the agency specifies.
