More than 49 thousand children were born in maternity hospitals of Bashkiria in 2017

UFA, 26 January 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. In 2017, 49 260 children were born in the maternity hospitals of Bashkiria. The birth rate in the republic slightly decreased compared to 2016, when 55 628 babies appeared. But doctors hope that the number of births in the region will increase in 2018, including, due to innovations in the republican demographic policy. This year, women who will give birth to their firstborns will receive payments.

The Ministry of Health RB specified that the January figures will become known in early February. As Bashinform News Agency reported, on New Year's Eve of 2018, 17 children were born in Bashkortostan: 11 girls and six boys. But it is known that in the current January there are already triplets and twins in the republic. Last year 389 twins and three triplets were born in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Popular names in 2017 were the following: among boys - Artem, Timur, Kiril, Amir, Danil and others, among girls - Arina, Sofia, Samira, Victoria, Anastasia.

Residents of the republic gave their children and rare names, such as: Dobromir, Deniz, Gayar, Domenik, Kemal, as well as Anell, Bozhena, Danelia, Zahra, Leia.
