"Russia-1" TV channel told about tourism development in Bashkortostan

Yesterday development of domestic tourism in the country was discussed in the "Week News with Dmitry Kiselev" program on the air of the TV channel "Russia-1". Anton Lyadov departed for domestic exotica to the remote places, where eco-, agro- and ethno-tourism was gaining increasing popularity. The journalists visited the Arkhangelsk region, Tatarstan, Udmurtia and Bashkortostan.
In Bashkortostan, the film crew visited one of the enterprises where honey, beekeeping products were packed and where from Bashkir honey was sent to the space station. In the restaurant of Bashkir cuisine journalists got acquainted with gastronomic delights and learned secrets of chak-chak cooking. And on the Epiphany Day, journalists visited the salt springs and places associated with a phenomenon of one of the most revered shrines - the Tabynsk Icon of the Mother of God in Krasnousolsk.
"Tourism can become a promising growth point for the economy of small towns, because many of them are unique," concluded Dmitry Kiselev. "According to Rostourism, in recent years, domestic tourism in Russia has been steadily growing and already is more popular than vacation abroad. Only last year, the domestic tourist flow reached 56.5 million trips, while an outbound 38 million".
