Year of 2017 will be warmest in history of meteorological observations in Russia

UFA, 29 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The year of 2017 will be the warmest in the history of Russia. It will beat the record of 2016. This is reported by the portal "Izvestia" with reference to the director of the Hydrometeorological Center of the country Roman Wilfand.

"This year will be a record high in temperature, we can safely say this", the speaker said and added that by December meteorologists had summed up the results of the past 11 months of 2017, and "the temperature was the highest in the entire history of observations," including the last year's record.

According to Roman Wilfand, the second record in a row meteorologists connect with a global warming.

The Bashinform News Agency with reference to Bashkir Met Office informed that on New Year's Eve a moderately frosty weather is expected throughout the republic – the air temperature will be -6, -11 C, in places will drop to -16 C.
