Earth's population will reach 7.444 billion people on January 1

UFA, 29 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency/. On January 1, 2018, the world population will reach 7.444 billion people, TASS reported citing the forecast of the USA Census Bureau.

In the widespread statement it is noted that compared to January 1, 2017, the number of the Earth inhabitants will be by 78.5 million more. The increase will be 1.07%. It is expected that "in January next year every second 4.3 children will appear, 1.8 people will die".

Earlier, the Bureau predicted that the world population will reach 9 billion people in 2050.

At the beginning of the eleventh century, 310 million people lived on Earth, in 1900 - 1.6 billion. The 6- billionth mark was passed in 1999. The world's population reached 7 billion people in 2011.
